Sarah Walker introduces highlights from the renowned Catalonian festival. We open with Rachmaninov songs performed by the soprano Katharina Konradi - a delight to hear singing in her mother tongue. The current 大象传媒 Radio 3 New Generation Artist was born in Bischkek, Kyrgyzstan and moved to Germany at the age of 15. Her choice of four songs is followed by a giant of the solo piano repertoire - Igor Levit plays Schubert's A major sonata, D959.
