The dreamers of dreams

Elgar's profoundly beautiful The Music Makers is paired with Walton's Fac抬ade Suite and Holst's The Perfect Fool suite. Live from Liverpool Philharmonic Hall with Tom McKinney.

The Music Makers is some of Elgar's most profoundly beautiful and heartfelt music and it's paired tonight with Walton's rambunctions Fac抬ade Suite. The concert begins with wild energy as a wizard summons the Earth Spirits with a trombone invocation in a suite from Holst's one-act opera The Perfect Fool. This is English music at its most exuberant.
