Shoot For The Moon: Professor Richard Wiseman
For 6 Music In Space Week, Chris is joined by Professor Richard Wiseman to explore how the first Moon landing still inspires us.
"We choose to go to the Moon in this decade, not because that will be easy, but because it will be hard" - John F. Kennedy
On 20th July 1969, Neil Armstrong became the first person to walk on the Moon - one of mankind’s greatest achievements.
For 6 Music In Space Week, author Richard Wiseman joins Chris Hawkins to share his pioneering study of the mindset that took humanity to the Moon and demonstrates ways in which the same mindset is available to us all.
It was the ‘Apollo Mindset’ that led to the first person walking on the Moon, & Richard feels its available to us all. From preparation to self belief and improvisation to courage, Professor Wiseman explains how the Moon landing in 1969 can harness that pioneering spirit in your own life.
PLUS Chris introduces a new 5 Before 6 DJ, Angie from Worthing, with her Space themed week of choices.
The daily Plink Test continues and there's a trip to Lisbon in Portugal with Efterklang's Casper Clausen, for Hometown Glory.
