Eclectic music from blues to beats with poetry and live sessions

Author and Raj Kaur Khaira comes in to discuss her new book 鈥楽tories For South Asian Super Girls 鈥� 50 illustrated biographies of amazing South Asian women鈥�

The book contains a number of famous and under-celebrated women from Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka. From the British Muslim spy Noor Inayat Khan and the fearless activist Jayaben Desai, to the award-winning comedian Mindy Kaling and Facebook鈥檚 first female engineer Ruchi Sanghvi. Illustrated with striking portraits by ten international South Asian female artists.

As well as writing Raj Kaur Khaira founded the Pink Ladoo Project in 2015. An initiative, which encourages the equal treatment of new born girls in South Asian families.
