The first ever authorised mixtape of the legendary shopping list for experimental music created by the British industrial noise group Nurse With Wound in 1979.

Formed in the late 1970s by Steve Stapleton together with John Fothergill and Herman Pathak, Nurse With Wound adorned the sleeve of their debut album - A Chance Meeting on a Dissecting Table of a Sewing Machine and an Umbrella - with a long list of obscure artist names that had influenced their work. It featured everything from Steve Reich and Can, to Basil Kirchin and more mysterious names like Tokyo Kid Brothers and quickly became a valuable shopping list for avant-garde and outsider music collectors.

After many years of mythology, misinterpretation and procrastination Steve Stapleton, who still works under the Nurse With Wound name, has been convinced to release a series of compilations that represent “the right tracks” by each of the artists on the list. This is an hour long slice of the authorised Nurse With Wound list.
