Winner of Cardiff Singer of the World 2017, Scottish mezzo-soprano Catriona Morison makes her Proms debut in Elgar鈥檚 sumptuous Sea Pictures, a vivid musical portrait of the sea in its many moods.
Also hanging in this musical gallery are Mussorgsky鈥檚 colourful Pictures at an Exhibition, Mendelssohn鈥檚 much-loved overture The Hebrides and the world premiere of Errollyn Wallen鈥檚 homage to artist Howard Hodgkin, This Frame Is Part of the Painting.
