Jamming in Cullybackey, harvesting words in the Kingdom of Mourne, and studying history when half your class is in New England

Helen Mark and the Kintra team with stories, news, music and banter from Ulster-Scots communities at home and abroad. Email the team at kintra@bbc.co.uk

There’s a wee bit of a harvest theme in the programme this week as Sylvia Burnside visits a jam maker in Cullybackey for a few tips while Willie Hill hears about a new project in the Kingdom of Mourne that’s harvesting words. Helen Mark finds out how the study of the great Ulster-Scots Migration happens when half the class is in Maine, New England and the other half is in Articlave near Castlerock and there’s news of a new Ulster-Scots Society in the planning for students at Queens’ University, Belfast.

The team loves to hear from listeners with yarns to tell and events to share with the wider Ulster-Scots community; for news, events and stories and comment, email Kintra@bbc.co.uk or say hello when you see any of the team members out and about!
