Thomas S酶nderg氓rd opens the RSNO Autumn season with a romantic feast featuring star mezzo soprano Karen Cargill performing Berg's lush 7 Early Songs, Strauss' glorious tone poem of the anti-hero Don Juan and Mahler's vast canvas of his Symphony No 1 inspired by nature and reflecting the world and a sweep of emotions from tragic to euphoric.
