Guy Garvey, Sir Matthew Bourne, and new play Fibres

Guy Garvey from Elbow discusses their new album, Giants of all Sizes, and choreographer Matthew Bourne talks about his modern staging of Romeo and Juliet.

Kirsty Wark is standing in for Grant Stott today: she will be talking to Guy Garvey, frontman of Elbow, to discuss their new album Giants of all Sizes, and their upcoming tour.

She will also be hearing about Fibres, a new play from Glasgow's Citizens Theatre and Stellar Quines, about the impact of asbestos poisoning on shipyard workers and their families. Writer Frances Poet, director Jemima Levick and actor Maureen Carr tell Kirsty about the production.

Choreographer Sir Matthew Bourne discusses his passionate and contemporary re-imagining of Shakespeare鈥檚 classic love story, Romeo & Juliet: set to be broadcast into over 400 cinemas across the UK & Ireland next week.

The Goldblum Variations is a collection of flash fiction from Edinburgh writer Helen McClory, who imagines Hollywood actor Jeff Goldblum having adventures across multiple universes.

Kirsty will also be discussing Build a Rocket - a powerful and uplifting play about triumph over adversity and winner of awards at both the Edinburgh and Adelaide Fringe Festivals.

And Gruff Rhys of Super Furry Animals fame is bringing his solo show and Welsh language album Pang! to The Spree festival in Paisley.
