A fry in Sean's house has to have mince as well as everything else. Mince hasn't been in the Undertone's fry since he was a child. Janet says mince is only for a dinner. Brian in Old Bangor says a fry has to have soda bread, potato bread and a wee pancake. Ethna says an Ulster fry would have all those ingredients but an ordinary fry would have had mince.
Paul in The Van questions a fried tomato in a fry and the thought of it makes him heave.
Henry wonders if any home bakeries make their own veda loaf as he doesn't like the shop bought ones.
The Pawnbroker says you haven't had a fry until you've had a fry in New York. You'd need a wheelbarrow for it.
