The Ethiopian-born Swedish experimental vocalist Sofia Jernberg talks about singing without language. She describes her technique which involves singing on inhale to create high pitched instrumental sounds with her voice. Sofia also talks about her more lyrically based work with Fire! Orchestra.
Stuart features Robert Fripp & Brian Eno’s second collaborative album ‘Evening Star’ from 1975. Also in the show is new music from Richard Dawson, Anna Meredith and Xylouris White, classic British psych from Caleb Quaye, and new modern classical from Maria Diaz De Leon.
