Andre Aciman: the world-renowned author of Call Me by Your Name on his highly-anticipated sequel Find Me

Nicola Meighan talks to Andre Aciman: the world-renowned author of Call Me by Your Name has just published the globally-anticipated sequel Find Me and is in the UK for a nationwide tour. Call Me by Your Name has now sold over 300,000 copies and was also made into 'that' Academy Award-winning film, starring Timothee Chalamet and Armie Hammer. In the sequel, we follow Elio's father, Sami, on a trip to Rome to visit Elio, and a consequent chance encounter that changes his life forever!

In the next instalment of our occasional series exploring the difference that ‘Arts Centres’ in Scotland can make to peoples’ lives, and their importance in the community, our reporter, Cameron MacKay visits the Macrobert Arts Centre in Stirling; he’ll hear about their Panto 'Rapunzel: A Hair Braiding Adventure’ - written, directed and starring Johnny McKnight.

As part of ‘Music At Work Week’- which kicked off on Monday - Nicola will also talk to Dr Julia Jones, aka Dr. Rock! Julia has recently published the book The Music Diet which outlines the many ways that music can improve your wellbeing if you embed it in your life and your workplace.

The Elvis In Concert UK tour, which features original footage of Elvis performing live on screen, accompanied by the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra and the Legendary TCB band – Elvis’ original and long term backing band - is coming to the Glasgow Hydro on the 29th of November. One of the key contributors - Jerry Schilling, Elvis Presley’s long-time aide and personal friend, will discuss it all; he has many incredible stories to tell about Elvis, having been a crucial part of his inner circle throughout his entire career.

All that and ‘May Morris Art and Life’: as the Dovecot Studios brings the first-ever exhibition about the work of May Morris to Scotland – we’ll hear all about her and her extraordinary contribution to the British Arts and Crafts Movement from Rowan Bain, the curator from the William Morris Gallery London.
