Writer Tony Roper, singer Seth Lakeman, Chris Kamara, ‘sharing’ The Turner Prize

Writer Tony Roper on The Steamie, which is coming to SSE Hydro in Glasgow for six special performances this month.

Glasgow’s favourite play, The Steamie is coming to The SSE Hydro in Glasgow for 6 special performances this month, having been specially redesigned for the venue! To discuss it all, Grant Stott speaks to writer and creator, Tony Roper - plus - Louise McCarthy and Gayle Telfer Stevens (who play Magrit and Dolly respectively..)

Multi award-winning folk singer Seth Lakeman joins Grant to talk about the release of his new single ‘Pilgrim Brother’ - drawn from his upcoming album ‘A Pilgrim’s Tale’ – set for release on the 7th of February 2020 to mark a staggering four centuries since The Mayflower ship departed the UK!

Grant will also explore the awarding of the art world’s most prestigious prize, - The Turner Prize - to all four finalists; there’s been criticism and praise for the decision – and even some talk of this being the year that the culture industry gives up on winners and losers!!

All that and a Christmas Gift come early: as Sky Sports’ most popular of football pundits, Chris Kamara, is releasing his brand new single and title track from his upcoming Christmas Album, “Here’s To Christmas.” We’ll hear all about from the great man himself - as ‘Kammy’ looks to cement his place at the top of the Charts at Christmas with a track that’s as festive as the Boxing Day fixture list!
