Hanukkah Here We Come
Rev Kate Bottley and Jason Mohammad celebrate Hanukkah, the Jewish Festival of Lights, and talk to Mary Crosby about her father Bing, the voice of White Christmas.
Rev Kate Bottley and Jason Mohammad celebrate Hanukkah, the Jewish Festival of Lights and count down to Christmas with carols, gifts and lashings of Christmas spirit.
The Jewish festival of Hanukkah starts tonight, so Kate and Jason are joined by Rabbi Alby Chait bearing gifts of doughnuts, explaining the significance of the festival and sharing how he's encouraging his community to spread love, unity and sweet treats at Christmas.
You don't get more 'Christmas' than the voice of Bing Crosby. Following a new album of his music featuring the London Symphony Orchestra, Bing Crosby's daughter Mary tells us about his life and how he became the soundtrack to Christmas. Plus we hear some of the newly released letters sent to, and from, Bing from soldiers during WWII that reveal how important it was for him to entertain those on the front line.
Plus beloved actress of stage and screen Imelda Staunton tells Kate and Jason why, along with her husband Jim Carter, she'll be volunteering with the homeless this Christmas at the Crisis Christmas Centre in London.
And much excitement abounds as we count down to Christmas with live music from Karen Gibson and the Kingdom Choir!
