Czech Philharmonic from Prague

From the Rudolfinum in Prague, Franz Welser-M枚st conducts the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra in Schubert鈥檚 3rd Symphony, composed just after his 18th birthday; and Richard Strauss鈥� musical reflection of his own, much-valued home-life 鈥� the Sinfonia Domestica.

Then, the Czech Philharmonic is in the German spa town of Bad Kissingen for an all-Mozart concert, conducted by Thomas Netopil. They begin with the ballet music from 鈥淚domeneo鈥�, before welcoming pianist Leif Ove Andsnes to play Mozart鈥檚 Piano Concerto No.20, and ending with a tribute to their home town 鈥� the Symphony No.38, written in Prague in 1786.
