Classical music inspired by the Epiphany

Music on the theme of Epiphany, marking the visit of the Magi or Three Kings to the Holy Family, and for most of us, the end of Christmas celebrations.

The decorations have been taken down, the pavements are strewn with abandoned, naked Christmas trees, and the long, cold and dark winter evenings stretch bleakly ahead, but the nativity story has one more chapter before we move on. Immerse yourself in half an hour of uninterrupted music inspired by the Epiphany, when the Magi, (Wise Men) or the Three Kings visit the child in the manger and present him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. Music includes seasonal favourites We Three Kings, Warlock's Bethlehem Down and Cornelius's The Three Kings, as well as music by Duke Ellington, Respighi, and Hans Zimmer's score for The Simpsons Movie, posing the question "What's an epiphany?"
