Deacon Blue perform live in the Radio 2 Piano Room. Plus Eddie and Brian Holland, the legendary songwriters who worked with Lamont Dozier, pick the Tracks of My Years.

Deacon Blue perform live in the Radio 2 Piano Room with music from their brand new album City Of Love as well as a classic from their back catalogue. It's the fourth release of a prolific seven-year period for multi-million selling Deacon Blue. Their last three albums returned the band to the Top 20 of the UK album charts, the most recent posting at No 12, giving them their highest charting album in 23 years. They're well known for their hit singles; Real Gone Kid, Wages Day, Dignity and Chocolate Girl.

Eddie and Brian Holland, the legendary songwriters, pick the Tracks of My Years with songs from The Beatles and The Four Tops. Working alongside Lamont Dozier they were known as the iconic songwriting trio Holland-Dozier-Holland. In their new book called Come And Get These Memories they tell the stories behind their phenomenal success. Raised in Detroit by their grandmother and single mother, the brothers tell their stories of growing up before shining a light on their early music careers. Once they had become one of the creative driving forces behind Motown, a Holland鈥揇ozier鈥揌olland writing credit was a near certain guarantee of chart success. As a songwriting and production team, they were responsible for many of the greatest songs of the 20th century. Between them, they helped transform Motown from a local soul label into a worldwide hit factory that became home to such superstars as Marvin Gaye, Martha & The Vandellas, The Supremes, Smokey Robinson, The Miracles, The Four Tops, The Isley Brothers and many more.
