From April this year landlords in England and Wales will face fines of up to 拢5,000 if they rent out properties that don't meet minimum energy efficiency standards. Any property in the private rental sector with an F or G rating - the two worst - must be improved up to a band E rating. Around 6 per cent of rented homes fit this description - that's 280,000. Research by Switchcraft, an energy auto-switching service that helps people in fuel poverty, shows that more than a quarter of a million landlords are still renting out homes that don't comply. We speak to a tenant who's been living in a freezing cold property for three years and Richard Lambert, Chief Executive of the National Landlords Association.

We examine new guidance from the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) to help people with pre-existing medical conditions get travel insurance. At the moment, people with a pre-existing condition struggle to get cover and sometimes travel without insurance at all. Campaigners and charities have been lobbying the FCA for years to check travel insurance prices are complying with the Equality Act after some people were quoted extortionate amounts. But will the guidance help those at the sharp end? We speak to one listener who was quoted 拢23,500 for insurance after a cancer diagnosis. We also hear from Malcolm Tarling from the Association of British Insurers.

We look at more than a fifth of pet owners come to regret their choice of breed. According to new research by Sainsbury's Bank, the main reasons include not having enough time to look after the pet, turning out to be allergic to the pet, or not liking the pet's personality. We speak to the TV vet, Dr Scott Miller, about the findings.
