A Holyrood committee has rejected a bid to change the law and make Scotland the first country to provide free period products for anyone who needs them. Labour MSP Monica Lennon -- whose member's Bill set out to establish a universal right of access to products -- estimated it would be around ten million pounds a year. The Scottish Government said it could be more than double that.
