Episode 6
Tom Kerridge joins the judging line up for one week, as six home cooks make the ultimate family pie.
It's the quarter-final and the remaining six home cooks are in for a surprise as for one week only, Michelin-starred chef Tom Kerridge joins the judging line up in Angela Hartnett's place.
Mary gives the quarter-finalists a challenge to cook their ultimate family pie, and it must be fully encased in pastry that they have made from scratch. This is a tricky challenge, and the cooks feel additional pressure as Tom is renowned for being a pie expert.
For the rustle-up challenge, Chris has chosen a root vegetable that鈥檚 more usually served as a side dish, but now the cooks must make it the star of the show.
The eliminator is set by Tom, and he announces that it鈥檚 a recipe close to his heart that he expects to be executed perfectly.
