Inua Ellams and Konnie Huq

Reverend Kate Bottley and Jason Mohammad meet The Barbershop Chronicles playwright and poet Inua Ellams and children's presenter and author Konnie Huq.

Reverend Kate Bottley and Jason Mohammad present uplifting stories about life, love and modern spirituality, alongside a great soundtrack for your Sunday morning.

This week they meet British-Nigerian poet and playwright Inua Ellams, who has been hailed as a cultural impresario with a hugely impressive and diverse body of work. He tells Kate and Jason about his re-telling of Chekhov's Three Sisters, set in Nigeria at the eve of the Biafran civil war currently receiving rave reviews at the National Theatre in London. Plus how he's turning his hand to theatre for families and children and the success of his smash hit play The Barbershop Chronicles, set in an African-Caribbean barbershop on the night Chelsea beat Barcelona in the 2012 Champions League semi-final.

And Konnie Huq, former Blue Peter presenter turned children's author joins Kate and Jason with tips for budding '500 Words' writers. Plus her novel, 'Cookie! And The Most Annoying Boy In The World', why being a nerd is cool and growing up as a British Bangladeshi in a Muslim household.

Plus a Charity Champion passionate about helping others and making change.
