Episode 18
Stanley Johnson and Georgia ‘Toff’ Toffolo search Cumbria for antiques with experts Paul Laidlaw and Izzie Balmer. Will a snake or a horse prove to be the most profitable?
Close pals Stanley Johnson and Georgia ‘Toff’ Toffolo compete to find profit-making antiques in Cumbria. Guiding them are top auctioneers Paul Laidlaw and Izzie Balmer.
Toff disregards expert Izzie’s advice to not buy a ‘daintee laydee’ teapot but seeks her counsel when it comes to a gamble purchase of a very unusual piece of jewellery. Stanley, meanwhile, is ruled by his head when one antique stirs some emotions from his youth – will he come to regret a buy based on nostalgia?
Toff takes time out from shopping to learn about the importance boats have played in the Lake District, and Stanley finds time to hear about the conversation work of artist John Ruskin.
Both teams take a risk on one big-ticket item – but who will make the biggest profit at auction in South Yorkshire?
