Barefoot Schoenberg

The Berlin Philharmonic and conductor Kirill Petrenko play Tchaikovsky and Schoenberg, with Patricia Kopatchinskaja - famous for playing barefoot - in Schoenberg's Violin Concerto

The Berlin Philharmonic and conductor Kirill Petrenko play Tchaikovsky and Schoenberg, with Patricia Kopatchinskaja - famous for playing barefoot - in Schoenberg's Violin Concerto. The Times reviewer at this concert in the 2019 Lucerne Festival heard her performance as "a surreal psychodrama without words, volcanic in its outbursts, startling in its juxtapositions ... Kopatchinskaja proved here that she鈥檚 in a class of her own".
