What connects Tullylagan, a world-class engineer and a pipe band? Answers interspersed with live music on this week’s Kintra.

What connects Tullylagan, a world class mechanic and inventor with a pipe band? We’ve the answer - along with live music on this week’s Kintra.

Helen Mark and Rab Lennox hear the story that connects an elderly piper, a mechanic who changed the world of agriculture, a Manor house near Cookstown and a pipe band. Willie Hill – who sneaked off for a wee ice-cream at Ballycastle – bumps into an old friend who has a bit of blether about a famous local event (and there’s no dulse or yellow-man involved).
Back in the studio, Rab is joined by Alan Wade and Mervyn Dunlop for a few tunes.
The team loves to hear from listeners – so why not get in touch to tell them about the Ulster-Scots events you’re planning or stories to share by emailing them at kintra@bbc.co.uk, and they’re always up for a bit of blether if you bump into them out and about, so say hello!
