That was Prime Minister Boris Johnson's warning during a Downing Street news conference in which he announced new measures to try to delay the spread of Covid 19. Ex-health secretary Jeremy Hunt said that the UK was in a "national emergency" and suggested the government's new approach did not go far enough. The Scottish Government has said that gatherings of more than 500 people should be cancelled from next week.
