Mothering Sunday and Coronavirus kindness

Jason Mohammad celebrates mums with poet Hussain Manawer and writer Clover Stroud and hears stories of love and compassion during this anxious time.

On Mothering Sunday Jason Mohammad celebrates the care-givers, nurturers and superwomen in our lives.

Poet and mental health activist Hussain Manawer has spoken openly about his experience of depression and profound grief after his mother's death. He tells Jason how writing and poetry saved him, and shares a poem for World Poetry Day. Plus how to look our mental well being during this anxious time, as we grapple with the Coronavirus pandemic.

The writer Clover Stroud tells Jason about her critically acclaimed memoir 'My Wild And Sleepless Nights: A Mother's Story'. A Mum to five children, aged 3 to 19, Clover writes honestly about the joyous highs and painful lows of motherhood, sharing an insight into why the role of 'Mum' is such a vital one for all of us.

Plus we hear stories of 'Coronavirus kindness' from those going out of their way to look after others in their community.
