Self-employed workers facing financial difficulties are set to be offered a package of support from the government.
The Chief Medical Officer Dr Michael McBride says he suspects that thousands of people in Northern Ireland have the coronavirus. Seven people have now died and there are 209 confirmed cases. Testing capacity is to be stepped up to cover a thousand people a day from next week. Yesterday at Stormont's daily briefing, Dr McBride warned the relatively low level of testing in Northern Ireland was creating a "false sense of security" considering the relatively low number of confirmed cases.
