The 大象传媒 Scottish Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Kevin John Edusei, in Mozart's Piano Concerto No 22 in E flat major, with Pavel Kolesnikov as soloist, followed by Strauss's tone poem Till Eulenspiegels lustige Streiche, recreating the adventures and pranks of this German folk hero. Then, to close the afternoon it's Thomas Dausgaard's turn at the rostrum with two world premieres, commissioned by the 大象传媒. First comes Bent Sorensen's Enchantress, five short intermezzos for orchestra, and then, Emma Ruth Richards' The Sail of a Flame, featuring the mezzo-soprano Lucy Schaufer. The afternoon ends with Amy Beach's 'Gaelic' Symphony in E minor.
