Movies are very much on the menu today: Grant talks to Edinburgh based writer and Director Hope Dickson Leach (The Levelling) about her new film Strong is Better Than Angry - a fists-bared, kickboxing, bleeding-nose look at who and what makes women angry right now – and what they do about it.

Grant also talks to Emmy Nominated Director, Nisha Ganatra about The High Note - set in the LA music scene it’s the story of Grace Davis (TRACEE ELLIS ROSS), a superstar whose talent, and ego, have reached unbelievable heights! Maggie (DAKOTA JOHNSON) - Grace’s overworked PA is stuck running errands and dreaming of becoming a music producer. Grant will also be hosting our Streaming Film Review Hour: we’ll hear about the critically acclaimed Sci-fi thriller The Vast of Night – it’s set In the 1950s and Director Andrew Patterson mines New Mexico's rich history of supposed UFO sightings, ET visitations and alien abductions…

Netflix title The Half of It is also under review – an American coming-of-age comedy-drama film written and directed by Alice Wu.

And a bone fide classic - The Blues Brothers - a riotous mix of great comedy, music and car crash chases(!) - with a phenomenal number of legendary musical cameos: Ray Charles, James Brown, Aretha Franklin and John Lee Hooker included!
