JoJo Moyes and Denise Lewis
Internationally bestselling author JoJo Moyes joins Jo for Storytime. Plus an archive interview with Nation鈥檚 Favourite Denise Lewis.
Internationally bestselling author JoJo Moyes joins Jo for Storytime, reading an extract of her short story 鈥楲ou in Lockdown鈥.
鈥楲ou in Lockdown鈥 sees JoJo revisit her much loved character Lou Clark 鈥 star of global best-seller Me Before You 鈥 and reveals how she is coping in Lockdown.
Speaking about writing the piece, Jojo said: 鈥淚 didn鈥檛 have any plans to revisit Lou Clark after the end of the Me Before You trilogy. But I, like many people, have struggled my way through this pandemic, and it gradually occurred to me that writing about how Lou and her family coped with Lockdown would be the perfect way to bring a bit of cheer to those readers who loved her, during a tricky few months for all of us. She made me laugh and smile (and even well up a little) while I worked on this story, and I hope very much that you enjoy reading it as much as I did writing it.鈥
JoJo鈥檚 novels have been translated into forty-six languages, have hit the number one spot in twelve countries and have sold over thirty-eight million copies worldwide.
Plus Jo digs out an archive interview from her 2018 Nation鈥檚 Favourite series, Denise Lewis.
Jo sits down with Denise to talk through her life as an athlete and a gold medalist. Denise was born in Wolverhampton, after her mother Joan moved from Jamaica to the U.K. in 1966. After watching the Moscow Olympics in 1980 Denise was obsessed with the idea of becoming a professional athlete and in 2000 she took home the gold medal in Sydney having won the heptathlon.
Denise retired from professional athletics in 2005 and has since gone on to be a regular on 大象传媒 Sport as well known for diving straight in to tough challenges for charity.
