Wake up and embrace the day with Zoe Ball and the team. Zoe chats to Liam Gallagher and we have another Virtual Radio Quiz hosted by Jay.

Wake up and embrace the day with Zoe Ball! Liam Gallagher chats to Zoe about his album MTV Unplugged ahead of its release on Friday. Liam shares how he had lots of good intentions at the beginning of lockdown which haven't quite happened and he talks about when he missed a few Oasis events after partying a little too much...

Zoe speaks to listener Felicity Burnell, who is a podiatrist that got in touch with the show to settle the argument whether your big toe could be called your first toe.

We also play another Virtual Radio Quiz with Jay where he puts the teams general knowledge to the test.

With the usual team of Tina Daheley and Richie Anderson, Zoe and the team have the best start to your morning. With celeb guests, quizzes, headlines, tunes chosen by listeners, and more music that you can shake a glitterball at!

There's also a daily Pause For Thought from Remona Aly and listeners on the line, as Zoe entertains the nation with fun for the family!

Pause For Thought

Pause For Thought
From Remona Aly, Freelance journalist and editor:聽
The other day, I was chatting to my six-year-old twin nieces who were showing deep concern about my marital status. 鈥淧hupo Mona鈥, they said, using the Urdu word for paternal aunt, 鈥淲hy don鈥檛 you just get married?鈥 鈥淎nd whom should I marry?鈥 I asked. 鈥淲hy don鈥檛 you marry a prince?鈥 Twin 1 suggested. 鈥淭here aren't any princes left for me to marry,鈥 I said. They both looked pensive. 鈥淚 know!鈥 came back Twin 1, 鈥淲ait for Prince Harry鈥檚 son to grow up and marry him!鈥 Then Twin 2 piped up, 鈥淥R - you could marry a prince, steal his money and buy a pool鈥.聽
My twin nieces are total opposites, one is an introvert who鈥檚 averse to being hugged while the other is an extrovert who bounds into your arms for kisses. Although they complain about each other鈥檚 way of displaying affection, I tell them both are perfect, as people show their love in different ways.聽
The American author and radio host, Dr Gary Chapman, says there are five Love Languages: one uses words of affirmation, the second quality time, the third is the language of gifts, the fourth is acts of service and finally, physical touch. What I鈥檝e seen in these challenging times, is how a new love language is rising up, beckoning us to communicate, to connect and to care. I see that language in the CEO checking up an isolated neighbour who they never knew existed until they started working from home. I see it in the white single mum for the first time challenging the injustices facing a black teenager on the opposite end of the globe.聽
And I see it in the NHS chaplain who stayed well beyond his shift, to hold up a phone for a sick patient so he could see his daughter鈥檚 face on that final video call. 鈥淲e are People who need to love, because Love is the soul鈥檚 life, Love is simply creation鈥檚 greatest joy,鈥 said Hafiz, the Persian Muslim poet. It鈥檚 what my twin nieces remind me of everyday, with their unique love languages, so I鈥檒l take both their pieces of loving advice and see whether a prince or a pool is waiting for me.
