Brett Eldredge joins Bob to play some live music from his home in Nashville, with songs from his latest album "Sunday Drive".

Singing country music with a soulful edge and more than a dash of pop polish, Brett was born in Paris, Illinois on March 23, 1986, and grew up listening to singers Ray Charles, Frank Sinatra, and Bobby Darin. After hearing Brooks & Dunn at the age of 16, he became fascinated by country music, a fascination that stayed with him when he began attending Elmhurst College in Chicago. After a trip to Nashville, where he heard his cousin Terry Eldredge (a veteran of Dolly Parton's band and a member of the Grascals) play at the Station Inn, Eldredge was inspired to transfer to Middle Tennessee State University, immersing himself in the vocal stylings of country singers like George Jones, Ray Price, and Vince Gill. He also began working on writing his own material and started performing at songwriter nights in the Nashville area.

After touring with Taylor Swift, Brett became close friends with Ed Sheeran who you often find in the audience when Brett plays in the UK!

During the Covid-19 pandemic, when so many musicians are unable to tour, Radio 2's Country Show is asking artists to perform from their own front room, doing a little to keep the bond between artist and audience alive. First up was Carly Pearce, followed by Thomas Rhett, Mandy Barnett, Gretchen Peters, Steve Earle, Kip Moore, Lukas Nelson, Willie Jones, Billy Strings, Ruthie Collins, A Thousand Horses & Courtney Marie Andrews with the likes of Scotty McCreery & Mary Chapin Carpenter to come.
