Proms at 大象传媒 Hoddinott Hall, Cardiff
The 大象传媒 National Orchestra of Wales comes together for the first time since lockdown to play in a socially distanced concert where the audience is watching at home.
Ryan Bancroft joins 大象传媒 NOW as principal conductor at 大象传媒 Hoddinott Hall in Cardiff Bay for his first official engagement, his Proms debut and the first Prom from Wales! Martinu鈥檚 quirky Jazz Suite complements John Adams鈥檚 Chamber Symphony, written in 1992. After the world premiere of a new 大象传媒 commission by British composer Gavin Higgins, there are two evocative American classics by Barber and Copland. Acclaimed soprano Natalya Romaniw from Swansea, who represented Wales in Cardiff Singer of the World, joins the orchestra for this unforgettable Prom.
