PopMaster and Katy Perry

Katy Perry picks the Tracks of My Years in an interview first broadcast in 2014. There's also your love song dedications and another round of PopMaster.

Katy Perry, American singer songwriter, chooses the Tracks of My Years in an interview first broadcast in 2014. It came at the time she was embarking on her Prismatic World Tour in support of her fourth studio album 'Prism'. The tour eventually grossed more than 拢150 million from 149 shows and is her most successful tour to date. As a child Katy enjoyed singing in church and first pursued a career in gospel music. She rose to fame in 2008 with her second album 'One of the Boys', containing the hits 'I Kissed A Girl' and 'Hot n Cold'. Four of her five subsequent albums have topped the US Billboard 200. The disco influenced 'Teenage Dream' topped the UK Album charts in 2010 spawning more hits such as 'California Gurls', 'Firework' and 'E.T.' Today Katy is one of the world's best-selling music artists, having sold over 18 million albums and 125 million singles worldwide. In film, she released an autobiographical documentary titled 'Katy Perry: Part of Me' in 2012 and voiced Smurfett in the 2011 film 'The Smurfs' and its sequel in 2013. Her Super Bowl XLIX halftime show performance in 2015 is the most watched in history. Two years ago she began serving as a judge on the TV Show 'American Idol' with Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie. Katy's latest album 'Smile' was released in August this year shortly before the birth of her daughter Daisy Dove and is described as her "journey towards the light, with stories of resilience, hope and love".

Katy's next two chosen tracks come from Bonnie Raitt and CeCe Peniston. Ken also has the daily love song, record and album of the week and more from the legendary PopMaster Music Quiz. If you'd like to find out more you can email Ken.Bruce@bbc.co.uk
