Gabby Logan is live on The Mall as the best elite athletes line up for the 40th London Marathon 鈥� one of the great days in the British sporting calendar.

In the bio-bubble of St James鈥檚 Park, the best women, men and wheelchair racers in the world battle it out for the title, while 45,000 runners around the world take part in the virtual London Marathon.

The women鈥檚 elite race is first off at 7.15am. Defending champion and world record-holder Brigid Kosgei is the one they all have to beat, and she could well set a new world鈥檚 best time today.
