Welsh lockdown, Scottish flu jabs, Plus-size models

How a new system is causing problems for people wanting the flu jab in Scotland.

As Wales prepares to go into a 17-day lockdown - we'll hear from some of those affected. All non-essential shops, leisure facilities and places of worship must close, and all mixing between households in Wales will be banned, whether indoors or outside. The 'firebreak' has been described as Wales's 'best chance' of regaining control of the virus by the Welsh first minister, Mark Drakeford.

Listeners in Scotland have contacted this programme because of problems they're having getting the flu vaccine. Last week we reported on delays in England and Wales as demand outstripped supply. In Scotland this is the first year the flu vaccination programme is being delivered by 14 health boards instead of GP practices. It means patients have different ways of getting appointments - there are new special test centres and new booking lines. We'll hear about some of those issues and speak to Dr Nicola Steedman - the interim Deputy Chief Medical Officer for Scotland.

And, interest in the world of plus size fashion has been increasing over recent years - with a focus on better representation of different body sizes and shapes. It's an industry that has been growing in worth by about 4.5 percent every year, but the majority of that growth has been for women - less than 1% of that market was for plus sized men. That maybe about to change thanks to the latest collection from Rhianna鈥檚 fashion label which features plus size male model Steven G. We'll hear from him about the challenges he faces.
