A series of recitals from Northern Ireland Opera's Festival of Voice 2020, recorded at the First Presbyterian Church in Rosemary Street, Belfast.
John Toal introduces accompanist Simon Lepper with two graduates of the Radio 3 New Generation Artists Scheme 鈥� Irish soprano Ailish Tynan and British mezzo Kitty Whately 鈥� and one current member of the scheme, British baritone James Newby.
Across the series they鈥檒l be celebrating the culture and traditions of Glenarm, Co. Antrim 鈥� the village in which the festival usually takes place.
Today鈥檚 programme celebrates stories and ballads, with songs by composers including Schubert, Barber and Sondheim.
