The Love Song and Gary Barlow

Gary Barlow chooses the Tracks of My Years in an interview first broadcast in 2014. There's the daily love song plus more excitement on the PopMaster Music Quiz.

Gary Barlow, award winning singer songwriter and frontman for the band Take That, chooses the Tracks of My Years in an interview first broadcast in 2014. It came at the time he'd recently released his fourth solo studio album 'Since I Saw You Last' which debuted at number two on the UK album charts. He's just released a brand new single called 'Elita' where he collaborated with Michael Bubl茅 and Sebastian Yatra - one of Latin America's brightest stars. At the end of this month we see the release of his latest solo album 'Music Played By Humans' which features other collaborations with James Corden, Alesha Dixon, Barry Manilow, Chilly Gonzales, Beverley Knight and many more.

Gary has sold over 50 million records worldwide during his stellar career. He was originally discovered by Take That mastermind Nigel Martin-Smith who decided to base the whole of the band around Gary's talents. The group as we know instantly found success, hitting number two with their 1992 debut 'Take That And Party' and number one with nearly every studio album after that. Kicking off his solo career in 1996, Gary had yet more number one albums including his 1997 debut 'Open Road' and embarked on massive tours later reuniting with Take That for one of the most illustrious series of live shows in modern music history. Gary has said one of the highlights of his career was writing the official Diamond Jubilee single for Queen Elizabeth II in 2012. He joined forces with Andrew Lloyd Webber to produce 'Sing' which was performed by a number of artists from across the Commonwealth.

The next two tracks he's chosen are by Spandau Ballet and Gary Numan. Ken also has the daily love song, record and album of the week plus PopMaster. If you'd like to get in touch with the show email Ken.Bruce@bbc.co.uk
