U2's Adam Clayton & Bananarama!

The 80s pop icons chat about their tell all autobiography Really Saying Something. Plus U2's Adam Clayton calls in about the 20th anniversary of All That You Can't Leave Behind

Adam Clayton chats about the 20th anniversary of All That You Can't Leave Behind. The U2 album reached number one in 32 countries, and sold over 12 million copies. The songs "Beautiful Day", "Walk On", "Elevation", and "Stuck in a Moment You Can't Get Out Of" were all successful singles. The record and its songs won seven Grammy Awards; it is the only album in history to have multiple tracks win the Grammy Award for Record of the Year: "Beautiful Day" in 2001 and "Walk On" in 2002.

Sara and Keren from Bananarama met in the school playground when they were four. They became international stars, first as a trio, then, for almost three decades, as a duo. After leaving school Sara studied journalism at the London College of Fashion while Keren worked at the 大象传媒. They lived in the YWCA before they moved into the semi-derelict former Sex Pistols rehearsal room and immersed themselves in Soho's thriving club scene. A year later they teamed up with Siobhan Fahey to form Bananarama.

Really Saying Something takes us from the early days to the world tours, to party games with George Michael, a close friendship with the Prodigy's Keith Flint, hanging out with Andy Warhol in New York and in 1989, a Guinness World Record for the most worldwide chart entries of any all-female group. As well as the highs, Sara and Keren speak frankly about the flip-side of fame, revealing their personal struggles, and the challenges of juggling family life and a demanding professional schedule.

As part of Radio 2's Grief Encounter season, Dermot chats to one of his listeners called Roz who has very special memories of her father, thanks to an iconic TV theme.
