The Rt Rev'd Andy John

A service for Remembrance Sunday led by the Bishop of Bangor, the Rt Rev'd Andy John

A service for Remembrance Sunday, led by the Bishop of Bangor, the Rt Revd Andy John.

In normal circumstances the day means public gatherings in great numbers at cenotaphs, and special services at our churches and cathedrals, to remember the millions who did in the two world wars and conflicts since. This year our ways of remembering have had to be different and may take on added poignancy for many. In this service, Bishop Andy considers how our acts of remembrance for those who died, can lead us to find new purpose in our lives.

The service includes a short Act of Remembrance. Hymns (all recorded at churches throughout Wales before lockdown) include ‘All my hope on God is founded’, ‘Eternal Father, strong to save’, and ‘Abide with me’.
