Wet Wet Wet, St Andrew's Day 2020, Stories in Scots

Janice Forsyth chats to Kevin and Tommy from Wet Wet Wet about the band's new album and tour. We get the gos on Strictly from podcast host Kim Winston, plus the best of Upload.

This St Andrew's Day we hear about Tommy and The Angel - a re-telling of Tam o’ Shanter written by Matthew Fitt and performed by young Scottish actor James Rottger. Matthew has translated a wide variety of children’s books into Scots, including Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, The Gruffalo, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone and most recently Raymond Briggs’ Snowman- or The Snawman!- and both he and James will be joining Janice to tell her about this new tale.

We’ll have the Strictly Come Dancing week 6 round-up plus all the backstage gossip from the presenter of the Official Strictly Podcast, Kim Winston.

Anna Welander will be helping us delve into the recent submissions to the ´óÏó´«Ã½â€™s Upload platform.

And Wet Wet Wet singer Kevin Simm and drummer Tommy Cunningham update Janice on all the band’s news, including their forthcoming new album, called The Journey, next year’s UK tour, performing at the weekend’s Scottish Music Awards where they were also nominated for an Outstanding Contribution Award, and performing at today’s Frontline Scotland Festival.

Plus, plenty of Scottish tracks throughout the show today. But which listener suggestion will be our Topical Tune?
