Fish picks his Rock God

Fish reveals his Rock God, plus Johnnie revisits an important date for Led Zeppelin fans for This Week in Rock.

In the mid '80's, Fish had it all. Or so it seemed. A big hit career with the band Marillion, a major label record deal and tours lined up with stadium bands such as a Queen. But in 1988, the Scottish singer struck out on his own. After having major chart success with singles such as 'Kayleigh', he was ready to do it his own way and forge a solo career away from the mainstream.

Eleven albums later, he's still going. Creating his own empire from a home studio and close-knit team, Fish writes, records and tours with the support of a loyal fanbase. His final album, 'Weltzschmertz', came out in the Autumn and he's releasing a live album too, to help out his live crew who've been grounded due to the pandemic. Fish is choosing the Rock God and its safe to say, he's a man who loves to tell a tale! As ever, this one is worth listening to.

Elsewhere on the show, Johnnie revisits an historic gig at London's 02 for 'This Week In Rock', plus he's also got plenty of new releases and classic tracks for you to rock out to!
