Big Mountain, Mid-Afternoon Mastermind, Our Tunes and Wish You Were There
OJ sits in for Steve Wright, with Mid-Afternoon Mastermind, Our Tunes, Wish You Were There, and Big Mountain talking about their One Hit Wonder, Baby, I Love Your Way.
OJ sits in for Steve Wright and keeps you entertained all afternoon, live from the Salford Riviera.
Mid-Afternoon Mastermind is the quiz where you ask the questions and test OJ on your own specialist subject. He never knows the subject beforehand, and has just one song to revise before facing the questions.
Our Tunes gives a family of Radio 2 listeners the chance to choose 30 minutes of their music. No matter how far apart they are over the holiday season, this is their chance to come together and play their favourite tunes on Radio 2.
Wish You Were There is your chance to soundtrack a story or situation that OJ will tell you all about. He wants your suggestions for the perfect song to capture that moment.
OJ brings you some of the best interviews from his One Hit Wonders show.
Today, Quino from Big Mountain talks all about ‘Baby, I Love Your Way’.
Hear how they came to cover Peter Frampton’s 1975 track, the countries they got to visit along the way and what it did for Reggae music around the world.
He also reveals how he feels about the song now.
Joaquin ‘Quino’ McWhinney is the frontman of American band Big Mountain.
Best known for his 1994 hit 'Baby, I Love Your Way', which was a cover of a Peter Frampton song from 1975.
