Seonaid Aitken gets in the mood for Burns Nights with music from pianist Fergus McCreadie & his trio, plus Richard Michael's Song Book featuring a duet of Ae Fond Kiss with Seonaid

Burns An鈥� A鈥� That Jazz: Seonaid Aitken features a live session from pianist Fergus McCreadie and his trio who weave jazz and folk influences into their playing, and tonight perform tracks from their brand new album Cairn. Fergus is a previous winner of Album Of The Year at the Parliamentary and Scottish Jazz Awards, and fresh from a recent performance at this year鈥檚 Celtic Connections online festival. Plus, as it鈥檚 Burns Night this week , pianist Richard Michael looks at the Robert Burns tune Ae Fond Kiss as part of this week鈥檚 Song Book which includes a duet with Seonaid on voice and fiddle. Plus an exclusive spin of new music from saxophonist Paul Towndrow鈥檚 new album, and another chance to Dance To The Music for a virtual boogie across the airwaves, this week it鈥檚 a 1930鈥檚 swing classic from American bandleader Glenn Miller.
