大象传媒 Symphony Orchestra and 大象传媒 Singers (5/5)
The 大象传媒 Symphony Orchestra capture the heat and exoticism of Arabia as Fatma Said sings Ravel's Sh茅h茅razade and Louis Schwizgebel plays Saint-Saens's Egyptian Concerto.
The 大象传媒 Symphony Orchestra @ 90.
Penny Gore ends her celebration this week of the work of this supremely versatile orchestra with music inspired by the landscape of Iceland and two French works which capture the exoticism of North Africa: Louis Schwizgebel plays Saint-Saens's 'Egyptian,' Piano Concerto and the Egyptian soprano, Fatma Said sings Ravel's Sh茅h茅razade, with its sensual texts derived from The Arabian Nights. And, to start the afternoon, the 大象传媒 Singers explore the music of Bob Chilcott, their Principal Guest Conductor, whose music has delighted choirs and audiences across the globe.
