Paramedics race to the scene of a road accident where an out-of-control car has landed upside down in a tree on the side of the road.
In this episode, we follow ambulance crews in Edinburgh, Bannockburn, East Kilbride and Glasgow as they respond to 999 calls 24 hours a day.
It鈥檚 an exceptionally busy day for special operations paramedics Stevie and Robert, who are called to a road accident in East Kilbride where an out-of-control car has landed upside down in a tree on the side of the road. After treating seriously shaken-up passengers, they are then sent to assist the police after reports come in about a man threatening to jump off a bridge, before a traffic accident sees them rush to the centre of Glasgow.
In Edinburgh, rapid response paramedic Mat is called to a patient with chest pains, while across the city Martyn and Kevin visit a hairdresser to treat a patient who has injured themselves falling in strong winds.
At a collision in Falkirk, paramedics Leigh and Claire need to assess a young patient afraid of getting into an ambulance, and in Paisley, crewmates Pete and Gary rush to a life-threatening emergency after an elderly patient collapses at a supermarket.
In Bannockburn, paramedic Lauren and technician Alan rush to a patient struggling to breathe and must assess whether the patient may be suffering from sepsis. And in Glasgow, John and Suzanne need to work out why a patient has collapsed at home.
