Mick Fleetwood and Nick Grimshaw
Mick Fleetwood talks to Zoe about the latest Fleetwood Mac news live from his home in Hawaii. Nick Grimshaw has the lowdown on The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up to Cancer.
Mick Fleetwood, from the legendary band Fleetwood Mac, tells Zoe about a special one of a kind concert to celebrate the music of Peter Green. Following on from the one year anniversary of the Mick Fleetwood & Friends concert which took place at the iconic London Palladium on 25th February 2020, the show will now be streamed live via video on demand. Fleetwood Mac was founded by Peter Green in 1967 and was named after Mick Fleetwood and John McVie. After Peter Green left in 1969, Fleetwood and McVie remained as original members, and the band has since featured a cast of brilliant talents. Most notably, Christine McVie joined the band in 1970, with Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham joining in 1974. The enduring spirit of Fleetwood Mac stands for an incredible body of great music that has connected with generations of people all over the world for more than 50 years. Fleetwood Mac has sold more than 100 million records worldwide and the GRAMMY-award winning band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998.
Nick Grimshaw is taking part in this year's Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer and tells Zoe all about his baking successes and failures. Grimmy competes in the Bake Off against musician Dizzee Rascal, actor and comedian Reece Shearsmith and author, psychotherapist and broadcaster Philippa Perry. Grimmy currently hosting Radio 1 Drivetime (Mon-Thurs 3.30-6pm). He's also appeared on Celebrity Gogglebox including a Stand Up To Cancer special, with his niece Liv, since June 2019.

Pause For Thought
The census听for England and Wales听on Sunday was the first to record that my children are now all technically adults.
听
This was the third time they鈥檝e appeared in the census and my sixth, each one a momentary snapshot of our individual and collective lives: who we are, what we are, where we are, where we came from.听听It鈥檚 like a gigantic school photograph, what we all looked like at one particular moment.
听
The census is a hedge against forgetting; but it tells us nothing of our lives in between, the memories gathered in the gaps.
听
Memories accumulate in odd places.听听Over the past year, I鈥檝e shared a room with my son Silas.听听He sleeps in it, I work in it, and to facilitate this amiable father-son d茅tente, we鈥檝e had to do some clearing.
听
The old drum kit has gone, to Stevie over the road. The table has been moved.
And from the coathooks on the back of the door have been shifted a ton of clothes that Si used to wear: the purple Fiorentina hoodie I brought back from Italy; his old Arsenal training jacket.
They鈥檙e Silas himself, really: smaller, full of potential, his hand in mine.
听
Now there鈥檚 a school of thought that says that instead of clinging to those relics of the past I should really just let that stuff go.听听But aside from being a terrible thing to say to someone who works in a Museum, I don鈥檛 think it鈥檚 a helpful approach to memory.
听
The people who collected up the books we call the Bible knew that in memory the past folds into the present.听听It helps us to understand why we are who we are.听听It lets us inhabit the past, not to mourn for then but to be joyful now.
听
So, the Bible is a book of memories.听听Some are lists, like the census, others are stories, of people and of God, of faithfulness and sadness, of patience, compassion and abiding love from generation to generation.
听
Now, clothes are less compact than words and my house does not possess limitless storage.听听Even so, after clearing the coathooks, I couldn鈥檛 quite get rid of all the coats.听听So, I stashed some away.听听I鈥檓 not completely sure what they鈥檙e for except that one day I might need help remembering and I don鈥檛 think the census will be enough.
