Carmen from the Met

A performance from 2014 at the Met in New York of Bizet's much-loved opera Carmen, staring Anita Rachvelishvili and Aleksandrs Antonenko.

This evening's Opera from the Met is a performance of Bizet's ever-popular and well-loved opera, Carmen. Mezzo-soprano Anita Rachvelishvili portrays the femme fatale Carmen, with tenor Aleksandrs Antonenko as her hapless lover Don Jos茅, in this tale of seduction and betrayal. Pablo Heras-Casado conducts the Chorus and Orchestra of the Metropolitan Opera House, New York.
