Charlie Starr from Blackberry Smoke

Charlie Starr, frontman for southern rockers Blackberry Smoke reveals his Rock God plus Johnnie highlights an awesome supergroup reunion from 2005 for 'This Week In Rock'

Blackberry Smoke have been crossing the rock/country divide ever since they first got going 20 years ago. The Georgia natives rock out when they feel the need, but also have a softer side. So you can pick the style you want to hear from their considerable back catalogue! The band are back with a new album at the end of May, entitled 'You Hear Georgia'.
Frontman Charlie Starr chooses his Rock God in this episode - he's picked a giant of the rock world who has been chosen several times before and for good reason.
Elsewhere on the show, Johnnie recalls the reunion of one of Britain's best supergroups for 'This Week In Rock', plus listener requests, new releases and classic tracks galore from the world of rock.
