"That was everyone's phone box!"
Sean remembers the old phone box beside the fish shop.
"I'm having a bit of an argument," says Robbie, "about a certain phone number, of McCann's fish shop in Derry. One time you said you knew the number by heart?"
"Well," Sean says, "it's not the fish shop. There was a telephone box outside on the street. And that was everyone's phone box, the way it was then. And when the phone rang the children playing there ran into the phone box and answered the phone, and got the person. The whole gang of you ran to the house, all panicking. I knew the number of the telephone box."
With music from Chris Montez, Glen Campbell, The Drifters, Robert Mitchum, The Beatles, and more.
